Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover?

We send goods all over the UK on a supply only basis. We also offer an installation service within a 50 mile radius and beyond if economically viable.

Do you provide a written estimate or quotation?

We normally provide a fixed price quotation valid for up to 60 days. We will give an estimate for any work that cannot be quantified at the survey.

What are your terms of business?

Supply Only

As the goods are custom made we ask for a 50% pre-payment on supply only contracts with the balance payable on delivery.

Supply and Installation

With contracts where installation is required a 25% pre-payment is taken on acceptance of quote. This is followed by:

  • 50% of the balance due on completion of joinery manufacture. At this point the title of the goods to the value of the work that has been paid for is passed to the customer.
  • 25% remaining balance due on the day of the completion of installation. Please note, for jobs that take longer than 1 week to install we may ask for stage payments.

Installation is quoted separately and is treated as a separate order payable upon completion.

Who takes responsibility for measuring?

If the the goods are manufactured on a supply only basis the customer is responsible for providing measurements. Timberglaze may be able to visit site and take measurements but may charge for this service. The customer will be provided with workshop drawings and specification; manufacture will not begin until these are signed off by the customer.

If Timberglaze agree to install the goods Timberglaze will take responsibility for measuring, providing no subsequent changes are made.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Our preferred method of payment is by electronic bank transfer. We also accept payment by credit and debit card (with the exception of Amex and Diners Club), cash and pre-cleared cheques.
